Absolutely Truly: A Pumpkin Falls Mystery by Heather Vogel Frederick (2014)
Truly (yes, that is her name. An ancestor of hers was named Trudy, but upe on immigration, the name was written incorrectly, and it became Truly instead) has moved to the small to where her father grew up. This was not their choice, exactly, but after her father loses his arm in an IED explosion he can no longer fly planes. Instead, he helps take over his parents’ book store, and Truly and her siblings have to start yet again at new schools. Truly makes new friends quickly, and together they work on a mystery that appears to be Shakespeare-related.
This is a sweet book really, with a little bit of romance thrown in. I think young girls (I hate to say this, though) in particular will like this book the best. Truly is nearly thirteen, so this book will be of interest of readers around ages ten and eleven.
